The Submarine Power Line Between Guangdong-Hainan

Will Use 500kV OF Cable(07-4-29)

　　www.icablecn.com: On Feb. 10, 2007 the China Southern Grid Co. and Nexans Co. have signed a contract of

submarine electric line engineering between Guangdong province and Hainan province. Nexans Co. will supply 500kV OF

cable to this engineering with his join venture partner VISCAS together, a Japanese cable co. The length of this

submarine cable line is 34 km. The conductor of this OF cable is 800 mm2, transmission capacity is 600MW. The

amount of this contract is 140 million EUR. The OF cable will be manufacture in join venture factory in Japan and

will be laid with Nexans's cable ship. This engineering will be put into use in Jun 2009.
