The synthetic mica
is a mica crystal made of natural , minerals and other chemical
materials by accurate
metrology, uniform
burden, smelting in electric furnace and cooling crystallization.
There are more than ten
kinds of synthetic
mica, but the most successful one is fluoromica being suitable
for industrial production.
The synthetic mica is white, transparent, very pure, having
higher electric insulation, heat resistance and very
stable chemical properties so that it is widely using for many
kinds of high heat-resistant products.

Due to the military
requirement, in period of 2nd international war, Germany and
Japan have made many studies
and tests on synthetic
mica. In that time, Simenz company of Germany have got 400 cm2
monocrystal mica sheets,
but after wards
they have not any success. Their military study department invented
" Inner Electric Resistance
Melting Technology"
(i.e. inner burning technology) accelerating the industrial
production possibility of
synthetic mica.
Since 60's of 20th century, China began to study inner burning
synthetic mica. At present, the industrial
production level of synthetic mica is in the head in the word.
For example, Hunan Pingjiang Yunk Synthetic
Crystal New Material Co. Ltd have made mica with a max crystal
dimension more than 500 cm2. This mica crystal
can be used to manufacture the uncalcined mica paper MPM3-S(504),
MPM3-6(505), MPM3-H(506) and MPM3-
H(507,508)etc. And their tech properties can reach the requirements
specified in GB 10216. Their index of
permeability, ventilaty and electric conductivity etc are all
higher than international levels. The papermaking
with
fluoromica can not only supply a new material for electric
insulated product industry, but also open a new
material source for the papermaking industry with mica.
Owing to the synthetic
mica having an excellent whitness, free-foreign matters, excellent
permeability,
diathermancy, electrical
heat-resistant properties, so the synthetic mica tapes are very
ideal electric
insulation ,materials.
Someone said that the synthetic mica tapes having F and it is
not suitable for making
zero halogen cables.
This wording is very wrong.
At first, The F exists in the form of ions in synthetic mica.
The F ions have a strong electric negativity and
have a strong attraction to other ions, so that the synthetic
mica have very stable structure , can't decompose
at high temperature. Its chemical stability and heat-resistance
are better than natural mica. On the theoretical
view, the element F in synthetic mica is only 6-8%. But in
Guangzhou Yingke Synthetic Crystal New Material Co.
Ltd , the F is only 6.8%.
Secondly, the synthetic mica is made by melting composition
of even compound of fluoropotossiun,
fluoroaluminate, aluminun oxide, feldspar, quartz sand, magnesium
oxide etc at high temperature (1300℃). The
result of combination reaction in forming a no-compositive
potassium, aluminun and magnesium fluoroaluminate.
The F ions and other ions combinated into a compound (siF4),
so there does not existing the toxic free fluorine.
Thirdly, our company have sold more than 100 tons of synthetic
mica tapes. The practice aprove there is not any
toxic arm. The synthetic mica products are widely used in electric
industry.
The synthetic mica and its product---synthetic mica tapes is
a quite new heat-resistant, fire-resistant electric
insulation material, and attract attention of cable industry
of the world.
