Lu Guang Lin, the cadre in charge of Guangzhou General Company, declares that a new railway traffic network plan of

Guangzhou city include 15 subways. The total length will be 555 km, among them 488 km in city, 67 km in suburban

districts. Mr Lu said compare to the population /network size of other big cities in the world, the plan of Guangzhou

is approach the level of Paris, London, New York, and Moscow etc. This plan is reasonable and situate at the middle

level in the international city plans.
