In China, Electric Cable Industry began to manufacture the Fie-resistant wires and cables in the

earliest of 90's. The inventor of this kind of mica tapes is Ms Chen Yun Sheng, general manager of

Guangzhou Tianhe Yingke New Material Co.

At the present, Ms Chen has a market share 50% in China and more than 90% in Guangdong province. His

synthetic mica tapes exported to other countries of Southern-East Asia.

But a cable factory of Southern Asia said that this mica tape is muscovite tape and can't use in fire-

resistant cable. For this thing, Ms Chen said this is not a great problem, many people including many

engineers in the world didn't know still synthetic mica tapes. He hopes the cable engineers know well this

new material.

The fire-resistant cables made with the synthetic mica tapes can pass the burning tests 750℃ 3h or 950 -

1000℃ 90 min. These cables have been used in the metro, airports, high-building etc in China.
